Absences - It is important that you let the school know if your child is going to be absent from school.  The Ministry requires that we have an explanation if your child is to be away.  Contact can be made via phone on the absenses line, email - office@puketapuhb.school.nz or using the Skool Loop app

Puketapu Night Run - Baking please - We are asking all families to supply one lot of baking to feed our runners.  Ideally no baking containing cream please. Baking can be left in the hall kitchen from Thursday (30th) afternoon or Friday (31st) morning.  There is no need to cut slices/cakes/loaves as this will be done for you.  Please name all containers so these can be given back to you.  Thank you.    

Marshalls - We are still in need of helpers for our Night Run especially marshalls.  If you are able to help out please see the link below. Thank you.

Night Run Raffle Tickets - you will have received your raffle tickets by now.  Three great prizes to be won. A book of 10 tickets, $5 per ticket.  Please return any unsold tickets asap.  Thanks for your support.
All tickets including the butts MUST be returned to school by Thursday 6 August for the draw under police supervision on Monday 10 August @ 9am.

Wednesday 12 August - 2.30pm - 6.00pm

HQ - Yr 7 students please follow the instructions emailed out to you.
School finishes at 2.20pm on both these days.  Buses and After School Care will run at the earlier time.

TO BOOK YOUR INTERVIEW TIME:

• Log on to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz
• Put in event code 2ag3s
• Make your booking with your child’s teacher for your 15 minute interview.
• Those students in HQ (Yr 7) please check the email from the teacher regarding who you are to book with.
• Those without internet access or having trouble booking please contact the school office.

Closing date for booking your on - line interview is Tuesday 4 August @ 10 am & Wednesday 12 August @ 10 am.

Monday 17 August 
Teacher Only Day - School closed. This day will be used for staff maths professional development.

Good afternoon

Welcome back to the new school term.  I hope you all had a wonderful break. This term is looking very busy so please take the time to read any emails that come through.

Our PB4L Focus is Manaakitanga - We show kindness and respect.  

There is still about four weeks left on the building project.  We look forward to seeing our school looking normal again.

Mataraiki Celebrations - Thursday 23 July
This year we will celebrate Matariki Day with a Hautapu ceremony.  A Hautapu is a traditional ceremony held to honour the Maori New Year. We would like an indication of numbers attending if you could please let us know (children must be accomomanied by an adult). Please park on the school field (weather permitting). Information is attached and form attached.
Braziers - As part of our celebrations we would like to borrow some braziers.  Please contact the office if you have one we could borrow.  If these can be left at the hall entrance by Wednesday afternoon please.
